Two of the teams that are in the upper zone of the classification of group XII of the Third Federation faced each other on Sunday morning, who demonstrated on the field that their position is not the result of chance. UD Lanzarote and Panadería Pulido San Mateo offered a match of power to power, with the team from Gran Canaria having the best chances and the rojillos conquering a point to return to the play-off zone.
The first part of the match was marked by equality. The first warning was given by UD Lanzarote in the 11th minute, with a long pass from Agoney that allowed Gonzalo Di Renzo to stand alone inside the area, but goalkeeper Alex Guanche snatched the ball when the striker was trying to overcome him.
Minutes later, Fabricio tried with a shot from the edge of the area that went close to the base of the post. Panadería Pulido San Mateo had two good chances in this first half, with a one-on-one by Raúl Sosa with Ruymán and a shot by Alex González that Keita took out under the posts.
The match continued to develop under the same course in the second half. With five minutes left until the end, Fabricio took a deep free kick for Keita's entry on the right and the Brazilian's shot was repelled by goalkeeper Alex Guanche.
Panadería Pulido San Mateo finished the match on the UD Lanzarote goal, and the locals felt in those minutes the weight of having played three official matches in just seven days. The score would not move and with the goalless draw the match came to an end.
The draw allows UD Lanzarote to climb to fifth position and place itself again in the promotion play-off zone of the Third Federation. The rojillos will close the year next Saturday visiting UD Tamaraceite at Juan Guedes.
