UD Lanzarote traveled to Fuerteventura this Saturday to play its first preparation match of the preseason and face Unión Puerto at the Municipal de Los Pozos. A match that served to see the evolution of the players on the field a week before the start of the competition in the Third Division and in which the red team won 1-2.
The coach of UD Lanzarote, Josu Uribe, put together a starting eleven formed by Ruymán in goal, accompanied by Raúl Fernández, Matheus, Javi Morales, Rodrigo, Kilian, Nando, Ayoze Pérez, Adrián Machín, Zafra and Víctor Rodríguez. In the first half, Aythamy Yebri came off the bench, and in the second half, Sasha, Dani González, Miguel Gómez, Laurent, Manuel Herrera "Super", Miguel Gopar, Julyan, Jaime and Assane had minutes.
For his part, Miguel Santana, coach of Unión Puerto, formed with Paco, Airam, Teto, Antonio, Héctor, Iván Sánchez, Iván Puente, Jony, Samuel, Borja and Eisac. In the second half, Kevin, Taylor, Yeray and Peña took to the field for the Majoreros.
The match started in the best way for the interests of UD Lanzarote, achieving the goal that put them ahead on the scoreboard in the first minute. Víctor Rodríguez demonstrated his great goal-scoring ability and was in charge of sending the ball into the back of the net defended by Paco. With 0-1, the first 45 minutes came to an end.
At the beginning of the second half, Unión Puerto was in charge of leveling the score, with Samuel scoring the equalizing goal. On the edge of half an hour, the goal that gave the victory to UD Lanzarote arrived, scored by Miguel Gómez in the 75th minute. With 1-2, the match came to an end at the Municipal de Los Pozos.
UD Lanzarote is scheduled to play its second preseason match next Tuesday, facing Unión Sur Yaiza of the Regional Preferente de Las Palmas. A match that will be played at the Municipal de Yaiza, with the red players having to pass a serological test on Monday afternoon.
