An emotional match was experienced this Sunday at the Lanzarote Sports City, which meant the farewell of captain Rosmen Quevedo from what has been his fans for 17 seasons. UD Lanzarote defeated CD Santa Úrsula 2-0, achieving their first victory in the second phase of the Third Division competition. Rodrigo and Miguel Gómez were the authors of the victory goals.
The match started in the best way for the interests of UD Lanzarote, taking the lead on the scoreboard in the 4th minute of the first half. Keita starred in a stroke of genius on the back line of the right wing, getting past two defenders in a palm of land and putting the cross for Rodrigo to send it into the back of the net.
The game was balanced as the minutes passed, with Santa Úrsula having a chance in the 35th minute with a header from Soto that went high. A first part that concluded with a cross from Rodrigo that was headed by Rosmen at the near post, with the ball going close to the crossbar.
The second half was quite balanced, with UD Lanzarote knowing how to tie down CD Santa Úrsula so that they would not get dangerously close to the domains defended on this occasion by goalkeeper Ruymán. The sentence came with a few minutes left for the end, with Miguel Gómez culminating an individual play on the left side.
