The Sports Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote presented this Thursday the Informative Campus of Latin Sailing and Barquillos, an initiative promoted by the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sailing Barquillos.
The presentation ceremony, which took place at the Insular Center of Nautical Sports, was attended by the Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, accompanied by the president of the Canary Islands Sailing Federation, Luis Toledo, and the president of the Insular Federation of Latin Sailing of Lanzarote, Pedro Robayna.
“I want to deeply thank both federations, and the General Directorate of Autochthonous Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands for betting not only on the promotion of sailing in Lanzarote, but also on working to attract more and more fans to the sport,” said Monzón.
According to Luis Toledo, the minimum age to participate in this campus is eight years old, with no maximum age limit. In addition, he also pointed out that registration is now open and will be, presumably, until August 25.
“I strongly encourage citizens to participate in this informative campus, also taking advantage of the magnificent facilities we have at the Insular Center of Nautical Sports,” said Monzón, who also announced that registration is done through the website of the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sailing Barquillos.
