The Official Bulletin of the Province (BOP) of Las Palmas published yesterday, November 4, the announcement of the Tías City Council by which the file for the granting of the medal of the municipality of Tías to the Sporting Tías football club is submitted to public information.
The public information period is maintained for a period of twenty business days from today so that it can be examined and the appropriate allegations presented in the municipal offices and in the electronic headquarters of the City Council.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, confirms the support of the government group and the corporation for the granting of the municipality's medal to this emblematic club, "which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and which is part of our history, whose symbology goes beyond sports, as it remains and leaves its mark on our cultural footprint."
This sports institution welcomes 16 teams in different categories and more than 350 athletes, technical teams and managers.
The presidents of the Sporting Tías Football Club have been Ramón Batista Bermúdez (from 1973 to 1974), Germán Jacinto López Figueras (from 1974 to 1982), Florencio Suárez Rodríguez (from 1982 to 1984), Francisco Bermúdez Hernández (from 1984 to 1987- from 1989 to 1991 – from 1992 to 2000), Fernando Curbelo Luzardo (from 1987 to 1989), Tomás Hernández Hernández (from 1991 to 1992), Andrés García Hernández (from 2000 to 2002), Juan Pedro Valiente Sepúlveda (from 2002 to 2019) and José Francisco Bermúdez Cabrera (from 2019 to the present).
