The competition team of the Auria Badminton Club participated this past weekend in the Catalunya Máster and TOP TTR Granollers, with a great balance of results for the ten players who were present at the event.
The club returns from Catalonia with six medals, highlighting the results of Isaac Rincón and Vera García who reached the top of the podium in their respective categories, and the gold medal achieved by the pair formed by Samuel Tarife and Zeneida Ortiz in the mixed doubles of the absolute category and by Álvaro Guadalupe and Vera García in the mixed doubles of the under-13 category.
In the under-11 male category, Isaac Rincón asserted his condition as the number one seed in the tournament and took the gold medal. The Auria Badminton Club player defeated Víctor Matas (15-8, 15-7) and Mithran Karthik (15-12, 15-6), results with which he achieved first place in his category.
Vera García also won the gold medal in the under-13 female category. In the first match of the weekend, she defeated Laia Garrell (21-19, 21-17) and in the second match, she achieved victory against Ainhoa Serra (21-17, 21-17), defeating the number one seed of the tournament in two sets.
Álvaro Guadalupe and Vera García won the gold medal in the under-13 mixed doubles category. In the semi-final round, the two Auria Badminton Club players achieved victory against Maksim Sergeev – Laia Garrell (21-9, 21-8), and in the grand final, they defeated Isaac Torres – Ikhlas Razzouki (21-4, 21-6).
The fourth gold medal for the Auria Badminton Club in the TOP TTR Granollers was achieved by Samuel Tarife and Zeneida Ortiz in the absolute mixed doubles category. In the semi-final round, they achieved victory against David Blanco – Anna González (21-15, 17-21, 21-13), and in the final, they defeated Abel Hernández – Mireia Carreras (21-16, 21-14).
The medal count for the Auria Badminton Club at the TOP TTR Granollers was completed with two bronze medals. One of the medals was achieved by the pair formed by Isaac Rincón and Aitami Fernández in the under-13 male doubles. And the second by Alicia Martínez and Zeneida Ortiz in the absolute female doubles.
