Work at Correos in Lanzarote: application period open on its employment portal

The CCOO union has sent a statement to the media to remind all interested persons in working at Correos in the province of Las Palmas that the registration period for the new Correos Employment Portal is still open until next June 14.

This is a tool promoted by the union, through negotiation, to facilitate temporary hiring in those provinces, towns, and positions where the public company's Employment Pools are empty.

The Portal allows anyone interested in working at Correos to register electronically and apply for temporary contracts in operational positions in delivery, offices, and logistics centers, always respecting the preferential hiring right of the members of the official Employment Pools.

CCOO emphasizes that this measure, which is temporary and renewable —only in case of need and by union agreement—, does not replace the Employment Pools, but complements them.

It does not generate an automatic right to hiring, but it can be a real opportunity of access to a job at Correos, either through the next job offer, for which they can apply to obtain a permanent position, or through their incorporation into the temporary hiring Pools.

CCOO has guaranteed, through negotiation, mechanisms for control, transparency, and order in calls, avoiding arbitrary uses of the Portal and protecting the rights of temporary staff.

Interested persons can register until June 14 and obtain detailed information at the CCOO Union Section of Las Palmas, where a specific attention point has been set up to resolve doubts and provide guidance on access to employment at Correos.
