On Sunday morning, San José Obrero received the visit of a direct rival in the fight for permanence, suffering a hard defeat against Balonmano Alcobendas.

The match was quite even in the first twenty minutes of the first half, with minimal differences and both teams keeping their chances of scoring the victory intact. Gonzalo Velasco directed all the attacking actions of Balonmano Alcobendas, always finding the best alternatives to beat Javi de la Cruz. Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife had more problems in attack, but the locals remained in the match.

In the last ten minutes of the first half, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife lost several balls in attack and in one of them, goalkeeper Ramón Fuentes scored from his area to increase the difference to three goals. Samuel Trives had to stop the match, and on the return to the court, Carlos González scored two goals to reduce the differences.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife tried different defensive systems in this first half, starting the match with a 6:0 defense and playing in several phases with a 5:1 defense with Rafa Robayna or Joel Armas in the advanced position. It did not have the desired effects, and with the score of 12 to 15, the first 30 minutes of the match came to an end.

Balonmano Alcobendas put land in between at the beginning of the second half, taking advantage of the defensive fragility that the locals were showing. The goals of Gonzalo Velasco (2) and José María Gutiérrez, put the score at 14 to 20, having to request Samuel Trives the second timeout of the match and seeing how the Madrid team left with a 6-goal advantage.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife had a timid reaction, with Joel Armas scoring a counterattack to put his team three goals down (23-26).
