Lanzarote Rugby Club opens headquarters in Arrecife

At the entrance of the premises located at Calle Blas Cabrera Topham number eighty-five in Arrecife, a large sign governs from today that clearly summarizes the noble principles of who will inhabit there from this Friday: "What are we? A TEAM. And what do we form? A FAMILY."

It is clear to everyone that Lanzarote Rugby Club is a large family and this Friday it has inaugurated what will be, from now on, its warrior's abode, its headquarters.

When one enters the premises, one finds what one should find, rugby on television at all hours, jerseys from great international teams and a list of historical jerseys from Lanzarote Rugby Club hanging on the wall, proud of their past and the mud swallowed.

The event was attended by the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan De León, as well as the Sports Councilor of the Island Council of Lanzarote, Juan Monzón, who, after meeting the president of the club, David Pérez, and the rest of the rugby board, addressed a few words to the public, lovers of the oval, who filled the room. They congratulated the club for the inauguration of its headquarters and for the sporting progress, with more than deserved awards, both for the seniors and for the promising youth academy of rugby in Lanzarote. Also with them were the Island Councilor, Jacobo Medina, and the Sports Councilor of Teguise, Alejandro Ramírez.

The night, as it could not be otherwise, closed with music and a special third time, already in what will be their home, washed down with beer and good music.

Inaugurating a headquarters is a giant step for the Lanzarote Rugby Club, which continues to grow and draw a more than brilliant future for rugby on the island of Lanzarote.
