The Plaza de las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen hosted the activity 'Basketball with Heart' this Saturday with Fernando Romay as an exceptional sponsor.
This is a traveling inclusive event of the Canary Islands Basketball Federation that this year celebrates the third edition, after those experienced in Puerto de La Cruz in 2019 and in San Sebastián de La Gomera in 2022.
It consists of a concentration with inclusive sports activities for people with functional diversity who work by stations through different games and challenges to enjoy as well as other complementary activities. On this occasion, the FCB and the Tías city council organize with the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the association 'Saltando Las Barreras'.
The day featured a legend of Spanish basketball, Fernando Romay, who also participated in the round table that was held with various specialists in inclusive training through sports. The event was attended by the Councilor for Sports of the City Council, Sergio García, and the Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón.
