The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, accompanied by the Minister of Sports of the Island Institution, Alfredo Mendoza, have officially received this Friday, and personally congratulated, the staff and coaching staff of San Bartolomé CF after achieving "their meritorious promotion to the Third Federation division", collects the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
The island manager has stressed the "historic" character that the entity represents to premiere in this division of national football: "You are a reference for many fans because you have overcome a difficult challenge, and I think that puts Lanzarote in the place it deserves," the president noted when mentioning the presence now of three conejeros teams in the Third Federation.
Corujo has remarked that the promotion "comes on the 50th Anniversary of the Club, which we also celebrate". Likewise, the head of the Cabildo has had "a memory for the staff of CD Tinajo, who this year fought unsuccessfully to ascend to this same division falling in the quarterfinals", they remember.
For his part, Alfredo Mendoza, has also congratulated the players and the technical team that commands the coach Juan Antonio Machín; and has stressed the "tremendous support with which the fans have turned, both San Bartolomé CF and CD Tinajo, to massively accompany their teams in the decisive matches of the promotion play-offs".
Recall that San Bartolomé CF, one of the leading clubs on the island, achieved this historic promotion last weekend, by managing to match the contest against Unión Viera in the Alfonso Silva field of La Ballena (Gran Canaria), and after having won by the minimum in Lanzarote lands, concludes the Island Government.
