After Dragana Balde's discharge last week and after accumulating the losses of two of the three foreign players that Magec Tías Against Gender Violence had signed for this campaign, the club has closed the incorporation of the American Lindsey Abed, a player who played at the University of Hartford and who can occupy the position of point guard and shooting guard.
"I define myself as a tough and hardworking player, who puts the team's success first and who always gives everything I have when I'm on the court," says Lindsey Abed before embarking for Lanzarote, where she is scheduled to arrive on Thursday morning.
In her, Magec Tías has found a player with great success in shooting and with a profile necessary to complete the team's game.
Lindsey Abed, who was born in California on June 14, 1997, has been one of the reference players of the University of Hartford, of the NCAA I, being twice in the All Star team of the University League, being captain of the team and the fifth best player in the history of the entity scoring three points, with 140 three-pointers scored in the university, to which she arrived to study psychology.
"I decided on the Magec Tías because I think it's the right team for me and my game, and I think I can be an important asset," she confesses while finalizing her luggage before the transoceanic trip.
Lindsey, with the "hawks" of Hartford played with the number 5 could repeat the number in the Lanzarote team. The player is scheduled to land on the island this Thursday at 11:40 am and, in the afternoon, meet her teammates in the evening training where, depending on how she arrives, she could even participate and start preparing with the rest of the players for the clash with the ISE CB Almería.
