High-level clash and a lot of equality despite the fact that the two teams have different objectives at the end of the season. CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote traveled to a difficult court such as the Florida Arena, where they demonstrated that they can compete against any team in the category. Lobas Global Atac Oviedo knew how to manage an advantage that was gradually built until the end of the match with comfort on the scoreboard, but not on the court, with some Lanzarote players who did not let the new leader of the category relax.

The match began with very long attacks by both teams. Quite a bit of respect between the two teams who insisted until they touched the passive, without wanting to give the opponent the opportunity to facilitate the counterattack.

Good retreat from the red-and-blacks who withstood the locals' intentions to go on the counterattack. Not only that, but Patro Barambio's team demonstrated great firmness in defense, causing the first losses of Lobas Global Atac Oviedo to take the initiative of the match.

CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote had the opportunity to get ahead early on the scoreboard, after a great recovery by Gleinys Reyes, but the Cuban was unlucky in the shot that ended in the post. The comeback would come after a magnificent action by Danae Miranda after a good shot in support seven meters from the goal after a good feint. The two goals also had performances

keys that prevented either team from taking clear distances on the scoreboard.

A lot of equality in the first part. So much so that ten minutes into the match the Lanzarote team suffered a double exclusion and, despite having five players on the court, they managed to maintain the tie at 4 on the scoreboard. Furthermore, Brenda Roger once again found a gap where only the Majorera sees it to dye the scoreboard red and black (4-5).

But Lobas global Atac Oviedo controlled the pace of the match, putting the necessary calm in the static attacks and then giving speed in key moments, such as the counterattack, managing to find the backs of the visitors in second wave plays, which allowed them to come back and find the first partials in favor. CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote also found fissures in the rival defense, but the good interventions of the local goalkeeper left the visitors without options to rejoin the scoreboard.

The parity between the two teams would not unravel in the 20th minute of the match, when the Carbayonas achieved a four-goal advantage. But the great visiting defense and the recovery of balls served to reduce differences (12-10), so there were still options for everything.

There were also minutes of unforced errors in the two areas, with the goalkeepers gaining prominence and with a Susi Sánchez who responded outstandingly to her Oviedo counterpart, but which allowed the locals to reach the break with a 14-11 that left everything to be decided.

Erratic start to the second half with two teams not wanting to risk too much. The locals came out more benefited, who had that extra point of luck after recovering balls that were given up for lost after the good performance of the batateras in defense, managing to catch the red-and-blacks out of place. On the other hand, CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote was beginning to choke a little more on the blue defensive block. Even more so when the Lanzarote team returned to play in

inferiority, suffering two almost consecutive exclusions that left them in unequal conditions for almost 4 consecutive minutes.

Key moments of the match in which the Lanzarote team once again demonstrated the high level of play, preventing the locals from putting too much ground in between, although the difference was already 19-15 with just over fifteen minutes left until the final whistle.

The match then gained a lot of speed, an aspect that benefits a Lobas Global Atac Oviedo whose outside shot was beginning to unblock the local attack. And the red-and-blacks managed to respond with goals to each rival attack.

Ana Martín recovers under the posts, connects with María de León, who assists Cari Santana to pierce the net. CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote found the goal with some fluidity, but the five-goal difference against made a duel uphill that was rising to a rhythm in which the visitors were not comfortable.

In the final stretch of the match, Patro Barambio tried an effective 5:1 in defense that reduced the disadvantage to 22-18 after a great goal from Ingrid Roger, with four minutes left in the match. But the Carbayonas already knew that they had the possibility of assaulting the leadership of the classification, so they were not going to let two points escape, maintaining calm in attack and playing with the clock in their favor, even requesting the local coach a time-out to prevent his players from relaxing too much.

And so it was, finally closing the thirteenth day of the División de Honor Oro with a 25-20 that leaves a new leader in the classification, but also good feelings in the batatero team that knew how to compete throughout the match against one of the favorites of the competition.
