CB. Puerto del Carmen suffered their third consecutive defeat by falling 26-21 to Leganés, a team they had on the ropes during many phases of the match, although they were finally unable to finish them off.

The Lanzarote team came out strong in the first few minutes, obtaining a 5-1 partial, which set off all the alarms in the Madrid team, who from then on recovered and were able to come back in the match.

Constant turnovers, childish technical fouls and missed clear goals were too much of a burden for the Lanzarote team, who reached halftime with a six-goal disadvantage (14-8).

In the second half, and although they tried, CB. Puerto del Carmen was unable to reduce the differences, and the match was always managed with a 3 and 5 goal advantage in favor of Leganés, who finally took the match by 26-21.

The best player for Puerto del Carmen was Sheyla once again, who emerged as the top scorer of the match.

Next week CB. Puerto del Carmen will receive Gestasur, a team with whom they are tied on points in the standings.
