CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen won this Saturday at the Municipal de Tías in the last league match against Solimusic Events Carballal (31-22).

The victory leaves the Tiñosero team as champion of the Women's Silver Honor Division in its group A and automatically becomes a Women's Gold Honor Division team for the upcoming season.

Although the match started very evenly, a real exchange of goals between both squads, the sensations in the Galician team seemed to improve as the minutes passed. They went four up to provoke Juanmi Pérez's timeout.

He didn't see it clearly, especially in the left zone of the team. Although the Tiñoseras took a step forward, they closed the first half two goals down (11-13), after a goal on the buzzer arrived after an accurate timeout from the Galicians.

But the landscape was going to change in the first stages of the game after the restart. A radical change. Forty seconds after the return, a quick counterattack by the Paraguayan international, Fernanda Luján Insfrán, had to be stopped out of place by Patricia Mallo. Red card. The Tiñosero team suddenly woke up from an unwanted little lethargy and began to run as it knows how. The Galician team's problems were piling up and luck was changing sides (from the local posts in the first half to the Galician posts in the second). An 8-1 partial in ten minutes of play made the Tiñosero fans go crazy and truly believe in continuing to row to reach Gold.

Puerto del Carmen had achieved an income that it was not going to let escape. Javier Castro tried to revive his team but everything had already changed. Two Galician timeouts were of no use. The Tiñoseras managed to maintain the distances on the Tías scoreboard despite Carballal's advanced pressure.

The fans passionately sang the last seconds of Puerto del Carmen in Silver. Three, two, one and the party began after a year of effort. CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen manages to be league champion in its group and a place for Gold.

Now they will play a phase with the other three first-placed teams from the Silver group with the distant objective of the Guerreras Iberdrola League but, undoubtedly, the objective of the season has already been achieved, they are already a Gold team.

Antía Seijo was once again the top scorer for the Galician team with eight goals. In CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen, Insfran scored nine goals and, definitively, the best scoring average of the four Silver groups, nine goals per match.
