About 1,500 runners said goodbye to the year with the San Silvestre in Arrecife

The little ones started the day at ten and at 12 noon the adults' race started for the first time.

Once again, many Lanzarote residents wanted to say goodbye to the year by participating in the San Silvestre in Arrecife.

A race that this year changed its usual evening schedule for the morning one. At around 10 in the morning, the participants began to approach the Parque Islas Canarios, began to warm up to the rhythm of zumba and later the little ones made their debut.

At 12:00 noon the adults started, who toured a good part of the city center such as Calle Real and Charco de San Ginés to finish after the 5 kilometers in the Parque Islas Canarias.

In the women's category, Vanessa Olmos from CN Caldes won the first place on the podium with a time of 20:14. Yadira Pérez (20:23) from Paleotraining Tías took second place, while Yeya Luz (21:16) climbed to the third drawer.

The men's podium was completed by Yerove Rodríguez in first place (15'12), followed by Jesse Hinrichs (15:27) and Adrián Hernández (15:55).
