The Socialist Party of Haría is going out to win the next municipal elections. On May 24, the residents of the municipality will have the possibility of changing more than 25 years of nationalist governments.
If we take into account the political trajectory of the Canarian Coalition and those who compose it, and if the arithmetic allows it, the current mayor José Mariano Torres Stinga will try to continue being so, with the support of his still political formation.
In this way, a nationalist alliance would allow the candidate imposed by Pedro San Ginés in Haría to have a free way to go to the Parliament of the Canary Islands.
Because Pedro San Ginés' candidate will move his residence from Tao to Santa Cruz de Tenerife after the elections and will once again use our municipality as a bargaining chip.
In recent weeks, we have been attacked indiscriminately by the nationalists, who carry exasperation as their main gene in their DNA.
Are they so worried about the Socialist Party of Haría, which obtained 263 votes in the last elections? Have they detected the change of course of the electorate and the weariness of a population tired of internal disputes in the Canarian Coalition, which only harms their interests and prevents progress in the North? Do they feel the general rejection of the maintenance of clientelistic networks and the preferential treatment towards some people?
The Socialist Party of Haría will demand explanations about municipal expenses allegedly made in favor of people very close to councilor Cristian Avero and about his expenses in fuel and telephone.
In the north, winds of change are blowing and that can be felt in the environment. The Socialist Party of Haría has gathered a group of citizens who are participating for the first time in local public life and they are doing so with great enthusiasm, sacrifice, enthusiasm and with the hope of giving back to the people what belongs to them: The pride of being from Haría.
