A day of beach and rest in La Mareta. This is how the President of the Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, will spend his 46th birthday with his family. Thus, he spent the morning on one of the beaches of the Island where he could enjoy a day that was initially cloudy, although the sun came out as the hours passed. In this way, sunbathing and swimming in the sea are one of the main activities for the presidential family to relax.
In the afternoon, they have planned an afternoon of rest in La Mareta. It should be remembered that the residence has sports courts and a swimming pool, so without leaving their place of rest they can carry out various sports activities, one of Rodríguez Zapatero's preferences.
On Thursday night, the family's activity was a little less intimate, since Rodríguez Zapatero, accompanied by his wife, Sonsoles Espinosa, and his two daughters, went to dinner at the buffet of the Meliá Salinas Hotel in Costa Teguise. There, the diners, who were at least surprised to share a room with the presidential family, had the opportunity to exchange a few words with José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and even take some snapshots with the president.
