The Yaiza City Council approved this Wednesday the list of municipal proposals to the State Local Investment Fund, in an extraordinary and urgent plenary session. The eleven projects planned to be included total a total investment of 1,836,295.23 euros and foresee the creation of 138 jobs, a priority objective of this national initiative.
Specifically, the plenary session approved the renovation of the Femés Teleclub, budgeted at 192,887.93 euros; the rehabilitation of the Femés Sociocultural Center (70,140.34 euros) and, in the same nucleus, the expansion of Rubicón Avenue for a value of 55,676.00 euros. In Playa Blanca, the most important work is the construction of the school canteen, with a budget of 475,500 euros. Similarly, the construction of a second school canteen in Yaiza is planned, which will have a budget of 191,154.00 euros. In the same nucleus of Yaiza, the Old Civil Guard Barracks will be rehabilitated to transform it into a Sociocultural Center and Municipal Offices (198,500 euros), the municipal ball court will be roofed (112,978.31 euros) and the Sociocultural Center and the Municipal Offices of Yaiza will be rehabilitated (188,597.90 euros).
In the nucleus of Uga, the list includes the enclosure of the stands of the multipurpose courts, the lighting of the same and the repair of the changing rooms and bathrooms of the wrestling court (179,773 euros).
In Las Breñas, remodeling work will be carried out on the Sociocultural Center for a value of 171,087.66 euros.
The execution times of all these works range between 6 and 8 months.
Finally, the municipal Government group wants to convey its gratitude, on the one hand, to the workers of the southern Technical Office, "who have spent entire days - mornings and afternoons - dedicated to this project" and on the other, "to the rest of the political groups of the Corporation, who have offered us all their support from the beginning".
