The Yaiza City Council paid this Tuesday 43,000 euros more in sports aid. This is the payment to a dozen clubs of different disciplines to cover organization and operation expenses of entities associated with the Municipal Interest Initiation Sports Schools program.
The purpose is to continue facilitating sports practice and competition for children and young people from Yaiza and thus maintain the promotion of healthy habits and the transmission of values through sports activity.
On the other hand, the Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, recalls that the call for another specific line of aid is still open for individual athletes aimed at their preparation and participation in tests inside and outside of the Canary Islands.
Apart from that, the municipal government is taking into consideration for the next plenary session, this Friday August 2, the nomination of new subsidies in sports matters, to recognize, for example, the feat of the Club Unión Sur Yaiza that has just achieved promotion to the national category of Second Division RFEF.
