Likewise, as pointed out by the first vice president and councilor of the area, Ástrid Pérez, "anyone who wishes can also buy tickets for the different shows and cultural events that are held at the CACT".
Thanks to this measure, access will be streamlined in some Centers such as Jameos del Agua or Cueva de los Verdes, since there will be no need to go through the ticket office. According to the councilor, "it is quite an advance. Anyone can buy tickets from their home or from wherever they are, no matter what country they are from."
In 2010 alone, two and a half million people visited the Tourist Centers and the Cabildo estimates that the figures for 2011 will exceed "by far" those of last year.
Individual tickets and vouchers
Until now, the acquisition of both individual tickets and vouchers could only be done at the window of each of the centers, but thanks to new technologies, it can now also be done online.
Prices will not vary. Thus, it will be 8 euros for adults and 4 for minors (from 7 to 12 years old) in Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes and Montañas del Fuego; 5 euros for adults and 2.5 euros for minors in the Cactus Garden; 4.50 euros for adults and 2.25 euros for children between 7 and 12 years old at the Mirador del Río; and 2.50 euros per adult and 1.25 euros per child to visit the Castillo de San José. The visit to the Casa-Museo Monumento al Campesino is free.
For its part, those who prefer it also have the possibility of acquiring two types of vouchers, depending on the number of centers they want to visit.
With the 4-center Voucher, at a price of 26 euros for adults and 13 for children between 7 and 12 years old, you can visit the Montañas del Fuego, Jameos del Agua (from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.), Jardín de Cactus and Cueva de los Verdes. The 6-center Voucher, in addition to the above, also includes a visit to the Mirador del Río and the International Museum of Contemporary Art. The price is 30 euros for adults and 15 for children from 7 to 12 years old.
