The Popular Party of Tías celebrates the approval in the municipal plenary of its motion for the renovation of vertical signage and the repainting of horizontal signage in the municipality, an initiative that underlines the PP's priority in improving road safety for pedestrians and drivers. This measure, promoted by the popular party, seeks to put an end to the deterioration and abandonment that affects the road infrastructure of Tías, "a problem that the current government team has overlooked for too long."
The PP's proposal demands the renovation of vertical signs, many of them worn and obsolete, and the repainting of road markings on the streets of the municipality, especially at pedestrian crossings and lane lines, where wear is evident. Ylenia Vizcaíno, PP councilor of Tías, has stressed that "this motion reflects the proactive nature of the Popular Party, which has once again proven to be one step ahead, taking the initiative on crucial issues for the safety of residents."
"It is regrettable that the government team only acts when the opposition takes the initiative. From the PP we have had to force this proposal to solve an obvious road safety problem that affects all citizens of Tías. We cannot continue to wait for the local government to act late and reactively on issues as important as safety on our streets," said the councilor.
The PP has criticized that, "while the City Council boasts of managing the municipality, it has allowed road signs to deteriorate, putting both pedestrians and drivers at risk. The lack of maintenance and negligence on the part of the government team have not only left the signs in poor condition, but have also generated a danger that the popular party considers intolerable."
With this motion approved, the Popular Party assures that it "will continue to ensure its correct execution", demanding that the government team act with the necessary speed to put out to tender a contract that contemplates the integral renovation of the signage throughout the municipality. "The commitment to the safety of residents is non-negotiable, and from the PP we will continue to lead the proposals that improve the quality of life in Tías," concluded Ylenia Vizcaíno.
