The Yaiza plenary session approved last Wednesday a motion by CC for the creation of a leisure park next to the residential area of Faro de Pechiguera, in Montaña Roja. "We understand that, at the request of the residents who have expressed their opinion to this political group, it is more than reasonable to carry out a new infrastructure that improves the existing playground there, with a biosafe park and a multipurpose court, which serves to serve the population of the area," commented the CC spokesperson in the Consistory, Ángel Domínguez.

As CC pointed out in the motion, in the area of the Faro de Pechiguera urbanization there has been a playground since approximately 2010 and renovated just over a year ago, "but which is totally deficient for the population there." "Given that we are in a period of budget preparation and application for works charged to collaboration programs with other administrations, such as the Cabildo de Lanzarote or the Government of the Canary Islands, we understand from this political group that we should bet in that area and specifically in that green area to create a leisure park, consisting of the expansion of the playground, the construction of a multipurpose sports court and the installation of a biosafe park, which allows residents of that area to enjoy decent facilities where all people who wish to attend can attend," they requested.

From CC they emphasize the "commitment" of the government group to work to ensure that the proposal goes ahead after being approved in plenary, but they affirm that they will be "attentive to ensure that what was agreed is fulfilled."
