The 16th Conference on Education Inspection in the Canary Islands began to be held in Lanzarote this Wednesday. It is a program in which several experts in education will give lectures for the instruction of inspectors and education professionals. The inauguration was carried out by the president of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, and the regional Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Isaac Godoy. This edition, which will be held during these days at the Hotel Beatriz in Costa Teguise, has as its main theme coexistence in schools. The conference will conclude on March 24.
Isaac Godoy declared at the inauguration that he will focus on coexistence in the classrooms of the Canary Islands "to face a problem that cannot be ignored in the Canary Islands." He also stressed that these conferences "are very important because conflict in the classroom is a reflection of society and schools are a sacred place where the people of the future are formed."
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports also took advantage of his second visit in a month to the Island to present the video Mira Lanzarote and the Archipiélago Chinito. This video is included within the audiovisual media program of the General Directorate of Educational Promotion.
