The San Bartolomé City Council has put out to tender the award of a works contract for the execution of the project called "Replacement of the artificial turf and improvement of the fencing of the Playa Honda soccer field."
The bidding process is "simplified open", and has an estimated contract value of 429,211 euros, and an execution period "of three months from the start of the same."
The City Council points out that this work, which represents "a great investment" for the municipal coffers, aims to "replace the current artificial turf of the soccer field due to its poor condition", since they explain that "a deterioration in the efficiency of the fibers" is observed. In addition, the project also contemplates the improvement of the current irrigation network, with the replacement of the main ring that supplies the irrigation cannons. Finally, the perimeter fence of the enclosure will also be replaced.
“These works will affect the performance of our athletes while we continue with this new intervention from the City Council on the path of updating the state of one of the important sports infrastructures of the municipality”, says the mayor of the municipality, Isidro Pérez.
The Councilor for Sports and Works, Raúl de León, recalls that these new actions are added “to the works already carried out to improve the bathrooms, changing rooms and cafeteria area”. In addition, he points out that these adaptations will be paid for “with funds from the City Council”, and invites all interested companies to submit their economic offers, being able to do so until March 14 of this year.
