The 'Puerto del Carmen Carnival 2024' will be held on February 16, 17 and 18. This was announced by the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Festivities, Miriam Hernández, accompanied by councilors Pepa González and Sergio García during the presentation of the Carnival poster these days.

The winning poster, with the slogan 'This is Carnival, friends!', was designed by Juan Diego Ingelmo Benavente, a native of Asturias and resident of Castellón. Ingelmo is a graphic designer, painter and illustrator. He has worked in several advertising agencies as creative director and also as a freelance designer.

Juan Diego Ingelmo chose a colorful design with television characters experiencing the Carnival of the tourist town from a large boat with the distinctive logos of Tías and Puerto del Carmen and with the image of the church of La Candelaria in the background.

The rules of the 2024 Carnival contest were published in November and the period for receiving entries ended on December 15. The Tías City Council established a single prize of 700 euros.

According to the rules, the selected work is now the property of the city council, which exclusively enjoys all rights to exploit the design, as well as its dissemination in any form and place.
