The PSOE of Lanzarote has described the parliamentarian of the Canarian Coalition for Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, as the "king of posing", since, in the opinion of the spokesperson for the Lanzarote Socialist Party, Jenifer Galán, "while the Parliament of the Canary Islands was voting and approving the Canary Islands Budgets for 2023, Oswaldo Betancort was absent from the Plenary and went from microphone to microphone doing the only thing he knows how to do, which is trying to fill his political profile empty of content with content."

At the moment in which the Canary Islands approved "the best accounts in its history", the parliamentarian of the Canarian Coalition, Oswaldo Betancort, went to the radio and "dedicated himself to talking about himself in the absence of someone doing it for him, the PSOE, Nueva Canarias, Sí Podemos and Agrupación Socialista Gomera, the parties that make up the Pacto de las Flores and the Government of the Canary Islands, have approved this Tuesday the Canary Islands Budgets for 2023, which grow by 11.9% compared to the previous year, up to 10,180 million euros", says Galán. The accounts incorporate 7,478 million for social spending, 1,764 million for investment and a tax cut of one hundred million for middle and low incomes, about 105 euros per taxpayer of average savings.

"He dedicated himself to trying to whitewash his scarce contribution to the Canary Islands legislative chamber in the last three and a half years by appearing on various radio stations." At that time, Oswaldo Betancort was talking "about dreams in the world of politics, refusing to recognize the sad reality that awaits him in the next elections," says Jenifer Galán.

"It's enough to make you cry"

"Dreaming is free - says Jenifer Galán - especially if we take into account the balance that Betancort leaves in the Teguise City Council after three legislatures, which is enough to make you cry and is the real reason why he is not running for re-election: to avoid a failure announced by all the polls, including the one he himself commissioned." According to the spokesperson for the PSOE of Lanzarote, on May 28, "the penultimate redoubt of insularity and local nationalism represented by the Canarian Coalition in Teguise will fall."

Finally, she points out that "the 2023 Budgets for the Canary Islands increase by 30 percent compared to those of 2019, the last one that was approved under the presidency of the Canarian Coalition." On the other hand, "social spending occupies three-quarters of the Budget and increases by 31 percent compared to that of 2019. In investments and transfers, the accounts of the Canary Islands for the coming year grow by 27 percent over 2022 and 63 percent over 2019."

"These figures speak for themselves that the Canarian Coalition project for our islands has expired and Betancort with it," concludes Galán.
