"With respect and gratitude for her work in the regional government." This is how the
PSOE of the Canary Islands receives the decision to leave the position taken by the Minister of
Employment, Industry and Commerce, Margarita Ramos, a resignation that responds, as
explained by the Secretary of Organization of this political formation, Julio
Cruz, to strictly personal reasons. "We welcome her resignation with respect
and recognizing the good work carried out," he says. The person in charge of
taking up Ramos' baton will be the current Deputy Minister of Industry
and Energy, Francisca Luengo, who "guarantees the follow-up of the line
maintained by the Government and the Socialist Party of the Canary Islands," adds Cruz.
The PSOE of the Canary Islands wishes all the luck and success to the incoming minister,
"a person fully prepared to assume this position" and who will face
now the management of "three areas of vital importance for the progress of the
Islands", he points out. Likewise, he insists on thanking Margarita Ramos for her work
"from the deep respect for the personal reasons that have motivated her
resignation". "In a complicated economic scenario, she has been able to face,
efficiently and responsibly, her work in the Ministry of Employment,
Industry and Commerce. Once again, I reiterate my gratitude for the work she has
carried out in the regional government," says Julio Cruz.
