The spokesperson for the Popular Group, Francisco Cabrera, has lashed out at the president of the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, accusing her of "deepening the breakdown of dialogue and consensus in everything that has to do with land management" by not inviting members of the opposition to the presentation of the progress of the complementary leisure offer that was carried out by the Government of the Canary Islands this Monday. The mayors and councilors of the seven municipalities were summoned to the event. However, for the populars it is a "transcendental issue" in which the opposition should be aware of the Report.
The action of the president of the Cabildo, according to the PP, contradicts the statements she has recently made in which she assures that "everything has to be done among everyone". In addition, they consider that with this gesture they reaffirm the policy of exclusion that was inaugurated with the signing of urban agreements and with the drafting of the Territorial Plan.
For the popular group the gesture "is inexplicable and unacceptable" despite the fact that the Government of the Canary Islands was responsible for the presentation and they believe that the President should have involved the opposition groups in the first phase of the Report, which was presented by the technicians themselves and the project's drafter.
