The candidate of the Partido Popular to the presidency of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina, affirms that if he obtains sufficient representation he will launch the "specific modification of the planning regulations to determine and regulate camping in different areas of the island and end the current prohibition that establishes the Papagayo campsite as the only space."

In this sense, Jacobo Medina assures that one of the first measures he will implement when he is president will be "to carry out
This has been one of the topics analyzed in the different meetings that the island president and candidate for Parliament for the Lanzarote constituency, Astrid Pérez, and the candidate for the Cabildo with motorhome groups such as ACRAL and Burgao, have held these days, in which the candidates took good note of their demands.

"We also have the advantage that some town councils have stated that they are open to enabling this type of camping areas in their municipal area," recalls Medina, "so it would be up to the Cabildo to lead this process, in consensus with the mayors."
The popular candidate regrets that this term "has really ended up being a lost time because even a regulatory ordinance was announced that was never heard of again."
