The IES San Bartolomé is currently undergoing painting works that are almost completed, as the facility was in a significant state of disrepair. To this end, the IES San Bartolomé will have an extraordinary allocation to cover this investment from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The mayor, Alexis Tejera, thanks the minister, Manuela Armas, for her willingness, as well as the efforts made by the deputy minister of Education, María Dolores Rodríguez, the general director of Centers, Infrastructure and Educational Promotion, María Candelaria González, and the island director of Education, Celeste Callero, all of whom have visited the municipality to address the various problems and situations of each center.

The mayor has held several meetings with the Government of the Canary Islands addressing important issues for the municipal teaching community such as the CEIP El Quintero and the start of the school year.

The mayor and the Councilor for Education, Alma María González, are holding a series of meetings today and presumably tomorrow to once again make themselves available to the management and teaching teams before the start of this new school year and covid-19 protocols, also addressing various specific issues of each of the centers.
