The Ministry of Environment has committed to recovering and conditioning Flamingo Beach in the coming months, a southern enclave affected by tropical storm Delta that has not been repaired to date.

According to the socialist representative, Marcos Hernández, the department headed by Cristina Narbona has already initiated assistance prior to the intervention and the transfer of two technicians from the Ministry to the island is planned, who will coordinate the work necessary to begin rehabilitating the area on site.

The senatorial candidate responds with this commitment to the request made by the representative of Nordotel (a hotel complex belonging to the largest European tourist group World of TUI and operating in the South of Lanzarote), Ángel Rivero, who requested on behalf of his group "the immediate improvement of the coast due to the reduction in the number of tourists visiting Flamingo".

Likewise, Marcos Hernández announced that the Environment Ministry is studying the formula to eliminate the administrative concession granted to a certain business group for the management of the beach, since it does not respond to what was proposed.
