The Mayor of Tinajo renews all government areas and assumes Social Services, Culture, Technical Office and Urban Planning

The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, presented this Wednesday the renewal of the government areas. From now on, he himself will assume the Departments of Social Services, Culture, Technical Office and Urban Planning. Machín had already announced that he wanted to modify these areas to achieve "the proper functioning of all the Departments and thus be able to meet the needs of the residents of Tinajo."

Councilor Antonio Morales will assume the areas of Festivities, Security and Emergencies, Civil Protection, Police, Traffic, Road Safety, Industry and Commerce. For her part, María Dolores Martín Espino will remain in charge of Heritage, Senior Citizens, Citizen Participation, Health and Consumption.

The mayor has decided that Councilor Antonio López Toledo will take charge of Economy and Finance, Cadastre, Collection and New Technologies. Miguel Morales Morín will assume the areas of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Agricultural Market, while Gustavo Adolfo Morales Durán will be in charge of Sports, Personnel, Transportation and Mobile Park.

The councilor of the government group Manuel Guillén will now lead the Departments of Environment, Cleaning, Parks and Gardens and Road Maintenance, while Arecia Fontes Cabrera will be in charge of Education, Crafts and Municipal Radio.

Raquel Cabrera Bermúdez, who recently resigned from the Department of Festivities because this job is incompatible with her work in a private company, will now be in charge of the areas of Youth, Cultural Centers and Tourism.

"Radical" change

Machín has assured that he assumes these areas, but that if any colleague "wants more responsibility and has time", the mayor has "no problem" in giving up Departments. The renewal, according to the mayor, has been "radical, since all the Departments have changed." "I believe that the change will be fruitful and for the better," Machín said.

For him, the "most important" change is in Festivities, which from now on will be assumed by Antonio Morales, who has had to give up Sports, something "he had been working on a lot and liked." "I thank him very much. I know he will do well and we will all support him," said Jesús Machín.
