The judge of the Court of Instruction Number 2 of Arrecife, María Dolores García, has charged the lawyer Ignacio Díaz Aguilar and two tourism developers from Playa Blanca, including the representative of the Papagayo Arena hotel, after the former mayor of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes, gave their names during his statement before the magistrate.

According to ACN Press, Reyes admitted before the judge that he received money from these three people, as well as from a Basque company, to obtain licenses in Playa Blanca or, at least, to speed up the procedures. The names of the businessmen who "helped" the former mayor of Yaiza, as he himself confessed, came out during this statement and that is why the judge has decided to charge them in this case.

Thus, between next Monday and Wednesday, these people must testify before María Dolores García. Specifically, on November 2 at 09.30 hours, statements will be taken from Simón Camacho and Antonio Marcelo Machín, managers of Acuimar Cachazo S.L., as well as José Rafael Mesa Ferrer, administrator of Gestión y Desarrollo Janubio S.L. who is summoned at 10.30. Later, the businessman Joaquín Cañada, owner of Club Lanzarote and promoter of the Montaña Roja partial plan, will testify.

On Wednesday, November 4, the lawyer Ignacio Díaz de Aguilar will appear before the magistrate who is investigating this case at 09.30 hours and the representative of the Papagayo Arena hotel, José Francisco Riquelme at 10.00 hours.
