The Government of the Canary Islands and the Yaiza City Council continue to train local police officers

This time they have carried out a three-day theoretical and practical training course on police intervention in citizen security

The Yaiza City Council and the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Canary Islands Government have jointly carried out a three-day theoretical and practical training course on police intervention in citizen security aimed at agents of the Yaiza Local Police, police from other municipalities on the island and the Canary Islands, La Palma and Fuerteventura.

These agents are participating in the instruction given by the expert José Antonio Marrero at the Benito Pérez House of Culture. This is to share another learning experience that in the past already offered a course on qualification for the use of the drug test.

This same week, the mayor Óscar Noda, confirms the incorporation of two agents on commission of services to reinforce the police service in the municipality. Regarding the contents of the current training, the City Council reports that it addresses the transfer for identification purposes, intervention with toxic drugs, narcotics or psychotropics, intervention with other effects, searches, vehicle registration, illegal possession of weapons, criminal intervention and under the Law, disobedience, resistance or lack of respect, infraction of serious disturbances and sentences of interest and analysis of the same.

With a practical, active and participatory methodology, the general objective of the course is to guarantee citizen security considering effective security forces and bodies in the prevention and prosecution of infractions within the legal system and constitutional rights.
