The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands has already awarded contracts for 1,985,980 euros for the drafting of ten projects that will allow the construction of a total of 437 protected public promotion homes in the archipelago, 200 of them in Arrecife.
This is the first large batch of construction of protected buildings that is included in the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025. "These contracts will facilitate the construction of these homes, as well as the sub-projects for thermal and sanitation installations, the direction of work and the coordination of safety and health necessary for the execution of these works," they point out from the regional government.
These 10 batches of homes are distributed in different municipalities of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. In the case of the island of rabbits, which will concentrate the majority, all will go to the capital, in Los Geranios (Maneje). In total, three developments will be executed in this neighborhood, which involve the construction of 200 protected homes.
To design the projects for these three developments and subsequently direct their works, the three lots have been awarded for 713,016 euros to the companies LC30 Consultores Ingeniería, Arquitectura y Construcción S.L, to Díaz Llanos, Santa Ferrán, Navazo Herrero, Ferrán Aranaz and to the company David Miguel Navas.
The projects that have just been awarded will have to be completed and delivered next July. Once these drafted projects are available, the Canary Islands Housing Institute will launch the tender for the construction of these developments next autumn, with the intention of being able to start the construction works "before the end of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023".
