The residents of Los Ancones did not want to miss the plenary session of the Teguise City Council in which the conditioning of the road that gives access to the town was discussed, through a motion. A motion that has been approved and by which the Council is committed to fixing the road using a material "different from asphalt", pointed out the councilor in the opposition of CC, Domingo Cejas, until the future General Plan of Teguise definitively "regulates Los Ancones and the road can be paved".
According to Domingo Cejas, the nucleus, which was created more than 20 years ago, lacks public services, which includes public lighting, something that, according to the mayor of Teguise, the pilista José Dimas Martín, the residents already enjoy. The mayor affirms that the settlement is already included in the current plan as an urban nucleus although the road that gives access to Los Ancones is still considered rustic land. For their part, from CC they point out that the settlement will not be regulated until the Plan is approved. José Dimas Martín explains that the City Council still has a year to finish the Teguise PGOU.
While the Plan goes ahead, the residents have decided that their demands should not be forgotten and that is why, this Monday they decided to attend the session with small banners.
The corrals of Soo
Another of the motions that the opposition has presented has to do with speeding up the process for the corrals in the town of Soo to begin to function. According to CC, the PIL has not fulfilled the promise made upon arrival to the Government Group of the municipality, by which it assured that "in three months it would have solved the problem", recalled the councilor Domingo Cejas, "we are going for six months, it is not solved, and the most serious thing is that the approval of the Government of the Canary Islands with the impact report has been around for some time".
According to the councilor, now the ball is in the court of the Cabildo, to whom it corresponds to "make a territorial qualification" that allows to locate corrals for cattle on land that was previously protected rustic, according to CC. "If the solution is there, don't let it sleep and put it into operation".
