The City Council, presided over by Óscar Noda, has replaced deteriorated doors and windows of the CEIP Yaiza with aluminum carpentry as part of the improvement and maintenance actions that the Administration carries out in the different public education centers of the municipality in preparation for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. In the same CEIP Yaiza, the City Council is also renovating the exterior fencing of the center.
"The replacement of the carpentry was one of the demands transferred from the last legislature to the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, but for the safety of the schoolchildren, the teachers, and all the staff of the school, we could not wait another year, so we ordered the acquisition of the material and its installation, with our own resources," explains the mayor of the southern municipality, Óscar Noda.

Regarding the CEIP Yaiza, the City Council states that the replacement of the carpentry was not the only municipal demand to Education, since Yaiza has been requesting the roofing of the recreation court and the construction of new classrooms to remove barracks for years.
For her part, the Councilor for Education of Yaiza, Silvia Santana, has reported on general actions of Yaiza in masonry, plumbing, painting, electrical revisions, and replacement of deteriorated material according to the needs of the schools.

Municipal personnel also work on fine-tuning the electrical installations of the CEO Playa Blanca, which will soon be inaugurated by the southern educational community. The City Council appreciates the commitment of the municipal personnel assigned to these works and that of the director of the CEO, Miguel Aguerralde, who has been "very aware" of the progress of the tasks and the provision of furniture and computer equipment.
