The Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce participates in the Arrecife City Environmental Fair, organized by the capital's City Council this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park. The Chamber collaborates by organizing a renewable energy exhibition with the display of electric vehicles, "which will be the largest and most representative that has been organized in the Canary Islands so far."

Thus, you can see and touch around 30 vehicles, including hybrids and electric cars, motorcycles and bicycles. A total of 11 companies will exhibit, representing about 15 vehicle brands, plus another seven companies dedicated to renewable energies.

The scope of this exhibition is such that Mercedes Benz and Smart are going to send their latest models directly from Germany without going through the Peninsula. It will be the first time that these models set foot on the Archipelago, according to the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce.

This is an "experiential" exhibition as visitors are encouraged to live an experience behind the wheel of one of the electric vehicles that will be available for citizens to test. In the opinion of the president of the Chamber, José Torres Fuentes, "it is very important to try them, drive them and check their proper functioning."

Renewable energies

The exhibition will also feature seven companies dedicated to renewable energies, from charging points for electric vehicles, through the company IE Canarias, to photovoltaics such as Suntelco. Both companies collaborate with the Chamber through the Fotolinera project, in which Renault Juan Toledo also participates, who will be at the fair with the Twizy model.

The exhibition will feature the confirmed participation of other brands, including Toyota, Automotor Canarias, Juan Armas, Flick Canarias, Orvecame, Automóviles Lanzarote, Comarth, Tohqi Europa, Coolbikes and Joule Power.
