Almost two thousand Lanzarote locals as well as a large number of tourists and visitors came to the Castle of San José to say goodbye to the year with the New Year's Eve chimes that Mediaset broadcast live.
The old Fortress of Hunger transformed by César Manrique was the best setting to celebrate "the great party" with which the Tourist Centers and Mediaset España welcomed 2025 with the double broadcast of the New Year's Eve Chimes. Behind were "hundreds of hours of production work, directing, makeup and internal operations."
The counselor of the Tourist Centers, Ángel Vázquez, wanted to thank "the work, effort and involvement" of all the people who "have allowed us to show the whole of Spain the essence of an island that combines the work of a unique artist, unique landscapes, a gastronomic proposal on the rise and a population eager to have a good time. It has been a party for everyone and a promotional action of incalculable value in a fundamental market for the island."
The Cabildo claims that "the esplanade of the Castle of San José became a huge open-air party room, excellently decorated and illuminated, in which things happened that raised the fun and general uproar to the point of boiling."
From 9:00 p.m., the DJs Alma Nova and Carlos Chavaud warmed up the atmosphere with their always danceable sessions until the first explosive moment of the night arrived, coinciding with the broadcast of the chimes of the Peninsula, presented by a spectacular Blanca Romero and Ion Aramendi.
The members of the Batucada Villa Pipol took the helm of the night to do what they do like no one else: get the staff dancing to the rhythm of boxes, drums, percussions and congas.
Chimes for the entire archipelago
Ricardo Reyes and a radiant Ángeles Blanco wearing Canarian fashion took the Chimes from Lanzarote to the rest of the archipelago.
Moments later, Ale Acosta got behind the table to star in one of his magical sessions, a set with which he returned to the city where 25 years ago he began a musical journey that took a further step with his recent nomination and performance at the last Latin Grammy awards. Acosta and Villa Pipol, by the way, marked an anthological collaboration with the song Famara, included in the latest work by the Lanzarote composer and musician.
The very powerful Serial Killerz from Barcelona put the "finishing touch to an unforgettable night, which had a double ration of grapes, an extra dose of champagne and a gastronomic proposal built around a market in which local products and the talent of the island's restaurateurs shone".
