The Cabildo of Lanzarote has taken steps towards the modernization of its administrative structure, trying to achieve an agile and more accessible administration.
Among the outstanding measures is the Human Resources Planning Plan, since the organizational structure and the organization chart are currently being carried out, in addition to the creation of the RPT (job list) to adapt the new administrative reality foreseen by the legislation. This plan also entails a boost to the professional career of public employees and the strengthening of administrative management bodies.
In this sense, the Councilor for Human Resources, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, points out that "for the first time in the Cabildo, the internal promotion of the administrative body is materialized, facilitating new opportunities for the professional development of public employees in their professional career, while different positions will be announced, reaffirming the Corporation's commitment to citizen attention."
Likewise, an extraordinary functionalization process will also be carried out within the legal framework of the consolidated text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees (TREBEP) and, with a view to this year 2025, the Human Resources management systems will be modified with the aim of homogenizing working conditions through collective bargaining.
Regarding the generational replacement Plan, during this year the diagnostic report of the Island Council's staff will be formalized in order to materialize the replacement through multi-year employment offers, in accordance with the replacement rates provided for in the general budgets. Among other actions, the constitution of job reserve lists will also continue, in order to guarantee the public services that are currently provided to citizens.
Councilor Miguel Ángel Jiménez has expressed his satisfaction with the progress made and affirms that "these measures reflect our firm commitment to a modern and efficient public administration, capable of offering better services to our citizens and, at the same time, guaranteeing job stability and professional development opportunities for our public employees."

The Councilor for Human Resources explains that "we are strengthening our administrative bodies with the incorporation of new officials and significant labor improvements." "These measures," concludes Jiménez, "not only benefit workers, but represent a significant advance in guaranteeing an effective public administration that responds to the needs of Lanzarote, reaffirming the Cabildo's commitment to progress and quality in public management."
