The Cabildo awards scholarships for the past year to 313 students studying outside the island

A total of 1,083 applications were submitted and 718 were rejected

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Education Area, has definitively awarded the scholarships for the past year 2020-2021 for carrying out official face-to-face studies outside the Island. With an investment of 461,800 euros, 313 students will benefit from this subsidy, out of the 1,083 who applied for it.

After the resolution of the students' allegations, the Corporation classifies 718 applications as "unfavorable", according to the established criteria. In this sense, 70 of the allegations presented by the students changed the status of the application to "favorable".

The list with the Final Resolution is available on the Electronic Notice Board of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, on the website of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and on the Scholarships/Grants management website

The 461,800 euros have been distributed, by categories, between the Scholarship for Official Face-to-face University Studies of Degree and Higher Artistic Studies, in which there were 142 favorable applications; the Scholarships for Official Face-to-face Postgraduate Studies, in which there were five favorable, and the Scholarships for Official Higher Professional Training Studies, with 20 favorable applications. 

For their part, nine students receive Complementary Scholarships for Mobility Programs and 130 are favorable to receive Complementary Scholarships for Accommodation in rented housing or university residences. In addition, in the modality of Scholarships for Official Face-to-face and Non-Face-to-face University Studies, five students are favorable and for the Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies (Official Master's Degree) Non-Face-to-face and Face-to-face, two students have favorable applications.
