The plenary session of the Cabildo of Lanzarote approved this Monday the processing of a partida of 300,000 euros that will be allocated to the launch of "Inserta emprende Lanzarote 2021", a project coordinated by the Foundation of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria that has the objectives of "promoting the entrepreneurial culture and stimulating the creation of new business activities among the youth of Lanzarote".
According to the Corporation, Inserta emprende Lanzarote 2021 is "an opportunity to boost entrepreneurship and employability" of the island's youth. “It will allow us to facilitate their incorporation into the labor market and, thus, reduce the unemployment rate among the youth population of the island”, said the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo.
These 300,000 euros will allow to subsidize scholarships and internships, as well as the personnel expenses and the current expenses of the projects that are presented.
The term for the execution of Inserta emprende Lanzarote 2021 will begin next August and will end in August 2022. The justification of the projects will be three months after the end of the execution period.
