The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Local Police, has decided to move the facilities of the Municipal Vehicle Depot, located to date on Escotilla Street, to the municipal warehouses located on José López Betancort Street, near the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The transfer, which will take effect this Tuesday, will represent an annual saving of 43,200 euros for the City Council. According to the Councilor for Police, Jacobo Lemes, the reasons that have led the capital's government group to make the decision respond "to the savings and expense control plans that we have set for ourselves since we came to power".
In this way, the councilor emphasizes that "by locating the corral in municipal warehouses, the City Council does not have to pay any type of rent." "In addition to the economic savings that the change entails, we are going to gain space, since we are going from a 900 square meter warehouse to another of 1,000 square meters," he indicates.
