The Agency for the Protection of the Urban and Natural Environment (Apmun) has ordered the demolition of a single-family home in Tinajo, as well as a pool of about 25 square meters and several illegally built terraces.

The house consists of a single floor and a roof, an area of 110 square meters, more than 20 square meters of terrace, fencing of the property and the construction of a corral. It is located in a place called "Casas del Yuco", in the municipality of Tinajo.

The Apmun has notified the developer of the works, Carmen Isabel Umpiérrez, of this resolution through the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC). The agency has pointed out that this is an urban planning infringement file from 2001, which violates the Land Planning Law.

The developer now has a period of one month to present the demolition project as the first step in the voluntary execution of said resolution. Failure to comply, the Apmun warns, will lead to the "subsidiary" execution of the demolition order.

Requests Tinajo to initiate the sanctioning procedure

Likewise, the Apmun has requested the Tinajo City Council to initiate the sanctioning procedure against the works that were carried out without legal permission on this plot. It has also ordered its demolition. The City Council has fifteen days to notify this resolution.

Finally, the Apmun emphasizes in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands that a roof on the main facade of the house, a terrace located in the front, another located in the back of the building and, finally, a pool of about 25 square meters must also be demolished.
