The Island Council's Government group has approved the aid that will be allocated to the primary sector of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. The Island Institution has indicated that 1,900,000 euros will be directed towards farmers and ranchers, the fishing sector will have financial support of 600,000 euros while the maintenance of the vineyard will have an increase of 300,000 euros compared to the subsidy of one million euros that it already had previously.
The procedure for calling the planned subsidies will be processed under a direct concession regime. Thus, once the application has been submitted, and the concurrence of the circumstances and requirements established in the bases has been accredited, the Cabildo will issue a resolution granting direct subsidy in favor of the interested natural or legal person. In any case, the Cabildo clarifies that there will be full publicity about the official opening of the application periods.
Andrés Stinga, Councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Cabildo, has indicated that the money budgeted for the agricultural and livestock sector aims to guarantee full activity in livestock farms and fields, with which we stimulate with our economic support the reactivation of this important segment of the island's economy
