The Councillor for Social Welfare of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Marciano Acuña, intervened this Tuesday morning on the program Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero to announce that he has asked the Government of the Canary Islands to carry out an inspection at the Tías elderly residence, managed by Amavir, after complaints of harassment and poor conditions.

"This residence is under the umbrella of the Canary Islands dependency system," Acuña has added, who has defended that the supervision of this space does not depend only on the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

"We also want that the Government of the Canary Islands, with an official, with all her team, well, to come, study the protocols, study all the conditions that the residence has and bring us light", the counselor has maintained.

Acuña has defended that after a detailed analysis it will be clarified if the conditions in the residence can result in a sanction to Amavir's management or in the "kidnapping of the service"
