Several people have been injured this Thursday after a car and a truck collided head-on on the LZ-2 road that connects Yaiza with Playa Blanca, as confirmed by CECOES.
The event has taken place around 16:15 hours, when the Emergency Coordination Center has received a call alerting of the accident in which the vehicle has overturned after the impact.
For the moment, the 112 has not reported the number of injured nor their severity, since the health personnel are attending to those affected.
The crash has caused the closure of the road, since the cars have remained in the middle of the roadway obstructing the passage, so the other vehicles have had to turn around and continue along the parallel road or via the access through Femés.
To the scene, three SUC ambulances, three fire trucks from the Emergency Consortium, and Civil Guard agents have been dispatched. The latter have been in charge of regulating traffic.
