San Bartolomé was the protagonist during the entire last week of the 'Consume Lanzarote' campaign, promoted by the Commerce Department of the Cabildo to favor and promote local commerce.
"From October 12th until this past Sunday, the municipality of San Bartolomé has seen its establishments benefit from this campaign, which aims to favor and promote local commerce. In addition, cultural activities were carried out during the week to help further boost various points of the municipality and thus accompany the purchases of the residents," they highlight from the City Council.
In this sense, the show 'Marea de cuentas', starring the oral narrator Vicki Dos Santos and the musician Aarón Márquez, could be enjoyed twice. The first of the performances took place in the Bodeguita of San Bartolomé last Friday at 5:00 p.m., while the second took place on Saturday, at 12:00 p.m., in the Plaza de Santa Elena in Playa Honda, with full capacity.
"The campaign has been a success in the municipality during this entire week that it has been the protagonist of it," said the mayor, Alexis Tejera, who believes that "this type of initiatives promote the revitalization of commerce, supporting local businesses in these difficult times." "It is necessary to work to provide ideas and solutions that favor the business fabric of the municipality," he added.
The artists and the attending public were accompanied by several councilors of the City Council such as the Councilor for Commerce, Education, Employment and Senior Citizens, Alma González, the Councilor for Civil Protection, Citizen Security, Citizen Participation and Tourism, Mamadou Yero Sy Cisse, and the Councilor for Crafts, Youth and Intercultural Community Intervention Project, Ana Lopes.
