The San Bartolomé City Council has presented the six new Local Police officers that the municipality will have in the coming years. The new officials will officially begin their activity once they finish the internship period, with a course at the Canarian Security Academy.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has pointed out that with these new additions “it will be possible to continue guaranteeing security in the municipality and the protection of the neighbors, being a reinforcement to the great service provided by the agents that make up the current staff”. In this sense, he highlighted the important role that the agents will play, thanking them for their commitment, responsibility and service to protect and serve the citizens.
“Together with the incorporation of the new officials”, the mayor assured, “from the City Council we have worked in recent years to guarantee security services with actions such as, for example, the installation of cameras in different points of the municipality, tools that are being a fundamental support for the State security forces and bodies and that has served to clarify numerous incidents in the municipality”.
Along with the six new agents, the San Bartolomé City Council has initiated the procedures to cover the two positions that will become vacant due to the retirement of two other local police officers, which will allow the police force to be configured with a greater number of troops than in the years prior to these retirements.
